Clemson University Baseball
Doug Kingsmore Stadium, one of the premiere venues in all of college baseball, has been home of the Clemson Tigers ball club since 1970. After a recent $9 million addition to “The Doug,” as it’s affectionately called, the upgrades aimed to improve the experience of the coaches, players and staff. Clemson brought on Jack Porter to revamp this new 20,000 square foot facility and help tell the story of its program, as well as design the interiors to reflect the current vision of the new coaching staff.
One of the priorities Jack Porter was tasked with was developing the first-floor’s main entrance, dubbed the “lobby of legacy,” a space designed for recruits and fans to observe Clemson’s rich heritage, national success, individual awards, and an impressive major league pipeline. The rest of the spaces are highlighted through graphics of big program moments and cornerstone players. This includes a 20ft letter winner display that expands an entire stairwell, allowing current players to observe the long lineage of players that have paved the way before them and illustrate the depth of the Clemson baseball family.
